The Mont Batwing is an ultralight tarp shelter with multi-option pitching and fast set-up. The unique Mont designed Hold-Em-All support pocket securely grips the trekking pole handle while pole tips are firmly in the ground reducing the chance of collapse and providing stronger, safer support for the extended arrow-shaped ridgeline. Made from waterproof, highly durable, double silicon-coated rip-stop 20D Nylon, the Batwing provides robust, secure, lightweight protection from rain and sun.

Pitching Ideas

Weather Shield + Floor
Raise one side and then peg the ridgeline and the other side to the ground to form a covered groundsheet.

Tarp + Batcave Inner
Pitch the tarp as an A-frame and clip in the optional Batcave mesh inner tent for maximum protection from weather and insects.

Traditional A-Frame
Pitch the tarp using trekking poles, skis or even a branch by using the Hold-Em-All support pocket. Or secure the ridge guyline to a tree.

Slanted A-Frame
Support one end only and peg the other end close to the ground for protection from wind or rain.

Weather Shield
Secure both sides of the tarp to the ground for maximum protection from wind and rain or raise one side or corner to form an awning.

Tarp Awning + Batcave Inner
Pitch the tarp as an A-frame with one side raised as an awning – clip in the optional Batcave mesh inner tent and unzip the full side opening on the Batcave inner for cooking
